Der REO Speed Wagon war ein Nutzfahrzeug, das von der REO Motor Car Company gefertigt wurde.

Nutzung

James & Son(s), eine Spedition in England, setzte REO-Speed-Wagon-LKWs zum Transport von Getreide von Londoner Brauereien zu verschiedenen Bauernhöfen im Umland ein. Das Getreide wurde dort als Kälberfutter verwendet. Die Firma James & Son(s) existiert heute noch. Das Getreidehandelsunternehmen hat heute neben der Zentrale in Großbritannien auch Niederlassungen in Neuseeland und Australien. Die von ihnen eingesetzten LKWs hatten hölzerne Führerhäuser und waren in zwei Größen lieferbar.

Die Rockband REO Speedwagon benannte sich nach diesem Fahrzeug.
