Power and Data Grapple Fixture
Power Data Grapple Fixture (PDGF) sind auf der International Space Station (ISS) verwendete Andockpunkte für den Roborterarm Canadarm2 und größere Nutzlasten. Mittels der PDGF kann der Canadarm2 Nutzlasten greifen (engl. grapple) und so an der Station bewegen.
Eine PDGF besteht aus einer flachen Grundplatte mit einem zentralen Pin, in die die Greifmechanik (engl. Latching End Effectors) eingreift. Hinzu kommen drei gebogene Rampen, die der festen Verbindung mit dem Greifmechanismus dienen. Vier elektrische Verbindungen ermöglichen die Versorgung mit Energie und den Datenaustausch zwischen Canadarm2 und ISS, bzw. Canadarm2 und der Nutzlast.
PDFGs sind über die gesamten amerikanischen Teil der ISS verteilt angebracht und ermöglichen damit dem Canadarm2 sich von einem Andockpunkt zum anderen über die ISS fortzubewegen. Größere Nutzlasten, wie die EXPRESS Logistics Carrier werden von Canadarm2 an den angebrachten PDGFs gegriffen und bewegt.
