J. B. Petter & Sons war ein britischer Automobilhersteller in Yeovil (Somerset). 1895–1898 entstanden dort Fahrzeuge der unteren Mittelklasse.
1895 brachte Petter einen kleinen Wagen mit Einzylindermotor heraus. Der 3 hp entsprach in Auslegung und Qualität den Produkten vieler anderer zeitgenössischer Automobilhersteller, die später zu Marktführern wurden. Bald ersetzte ein Zweizylindermodell dieses erste Fahrzeug. Dann aber wurden keine weiteren Modelle entwickelt.
1898 wurde der letzte Petter gefertigt.
