Perilous Plunge ist eine Wasserfahrattraktion in Knott’s Berry Farm (Buena Park, Kalifornien, USA) vom Modell Mega Splash des Herstellers Intamin.

Das Layout der Strecker ähnelt einer 8. Die Wagen, die jeweils Platz für 24 Personen bieten, werden einen 37 m hohen Lifthill hochgezogen. Oben angekommen macht die Strecke eine U-förmige Linkskurve, bevor die Wagen die 35 m hohe Abfahrt von 75 ° hinunterfahren. Unten rasen sie in eine künstliche Lagune mit 650.000 Gallonen Wasser. Um den Bremsweg zu verkürzen, werden die Wagen zusätzlich mit einstellbaren Wirbelstrombremsen abgebremst. Durch die Bremsen ist es auch möglich, die Wassermenge, die beim Auftreffen des Bootes verdrängt wird, zu reduzieren.

Zurzeit ist sie die zweithöchste und die steilste Wasserattraktion weltweit. Die 35 m hohe Abfahrt ist 10 m niedriger als die niedrigste Stelle der Niagarafälle.
