Die People’s Weekly World ist eine US-amerikanische, marxistische[1] wöchentlich erscheinende Zeitung der Kommunistischen Partei der Vereinigten Staaten, welche seit dem 6. Oktober 1990[2] erscheint.

Die People’s Weekly World erscheint in den USA als eine Zeitung des Graswurzel-Journalismus, sie ist der direkte Nachfolger des People’s Daily World,[1] dieser ist ein Nachfolger des Daily Worker, welcher 1924 gegründet wurde. Sie entstand, nachdem die Zeitungstitel Daily World und People’s World im Jahr 1986 zum Peoples’s Daily Worker fusioniert wurden.[3] Die von Long View Publishing Co., verlegte Zeitung berichtet und analysiert vor allem die für sie wichtigen Dinge des täglichen Kampfes wie Arbeiterbewegung, Frieden, Gleichheit, soziale, Demokratie, Freiheit, Frauenrechte und Umweltschutz. Die Zeitung sagt selbst, sie veröffentliche die Neuigkeiten und Ansichten [der CPUSA] (... [we] publish its news and views), da sie zu ihr eine besondere Verbindung habe.[4]

Die PWW wird von ihren Abonnenten sowie ihren Unterstützern finanziert, verlegt wird sie von einer kleinen Belegschaft und einem Netzwerk Freiwilliger. Manchmal wird die PWW als "beste Arbeiterzeitung der USA" bezeichnet,[5] wobei das Angebot in den USA allerdings nicht zu vielfältig ist. In der Zeit der größten Verbreitungsdichte erreichte die PWW ungefähr 35.000 Abonnenten, wobei sie immer vor allem durch die Weiterverbreitung ihrer Texte eine große Reichweite zu erzielen versuchte.[3]
