Die Mitsubishi Electric Halle (ehemals Philipshalle) ist eine Mehrzweckhalle für Sportveranstaltungen und Konzerte im Düsseldorfer Stadtteil Oberbilk. Sie wurde 1971 fertiggestellt. Je nach Bühnenaufbau und Bestuhlung hat sie ein Fassungsvermögen von bis zu 7500 Besuchern.
Sie liegt neben dem Volksgarten im Stadtteil Oberbilk, etwa 2,5 km Luftlinie vom Stadtzentrum entfernt, und ist zu erreichen mit den Rheinbahn-Linien U74, U77, U79, 715, den S-Bahn-Linien S1, S6, S68 oder über die Autobahn A 46.
Namensgebung
Namensgeber der Halle ist seit 19. April 2011 der Elektronikkonzern Mitsubishi Electric.[1] Zuvor war 40 Jahre lang der niederländische Philips-Konzern Namensgeber der Halle.
