Lysaker ist eine Ortschaft in der Kommune Bærum.

Lysaker grenzt im Osten an die norwegische Hauptstadt Oslo und im Süden direkt an einen Seitenarm des Oslofjords zwischen der Fornebu- und der Bygdøy-Halbinsel. Zwei wichtige Verkehrsachsen, die Drammenbanen und die Europastraße 18, führen durch Lysaker hindurch. Ursprünglich war der Ort ein bevorzugtes Wohngebiet, dessen bekanntester Einwohner zwischen 1902 und 1930 Fridtjof Nansen auf seinem Anwesen Polhøgda, seit 1957 Sitz der Fridtjof-Nansen-Stiftung, war. Seit Ende der 1970er Jahre jedoch wird das Ortsbild vorwiegend durch Gewerbegebiete und Bürogebäude bestimmt. Ein parkähnlicher Grüngürtel ist noch am Fluss Lysakerelva verblieben. Wichtige Arbeitgeber vor Ort sind der Industriekonzern Aker Solutions und der Tiefkühlkost-Hersteller Findus. Der Hauptsitz des Telekommunikationsunternehmens Tandberg, die norwegische Vertretung internationaler Firmen wie Apple, Fujifilm und Broadnet und ein Verwaltungsgebäude der Regionalfluggesellschaft Widerøe befinden sich in Lysaker.
