Charles Horton Cooley (* 17. August 1864 in Ann Arbor, Michigan; † 7. Mai 1929 ebendort) war ein US-amerikanischer Soziologe.

Er besuchte die University of Michigan und seine Dissertation "The Theory of Transportation" war eine verkehrssoziologische Pionierstudie. Er widmete sich besonders sozialpsychologischen Fragestellungen. Er konzipierte die versteckte Konformität, bei der das Individuum sich der großen Gruppe gegenüber zwar nonkonform verhält, gegenüber der eigenen Minderheit oder Widerstandsgruppe jedoch Konformität zeigt.

Lewis A. Coser nahm ihn unter seine "Masters of Sociological Thought" auf.
