LRASM (Long Range Anti-Ship Missile) ist ein sich zur Zeit in Entwicklung befindlicher Seezielflugkörper mit hoher Reichweite.

Entwicklung

Anders als gegenwärtige Anti-Schiff-Raketen wird es der LRASM möglich sein, Ziele autonom zu finden und anzugreifen. Völlig auf das bordeigene Zielsystem beschränkt und ohne vorhergegangene Aufklärung (sowohl GPS, Data-Links etc.) soll die LRASM fähig sein ein Ziel zu entdecken, anzufliegen und zu zerstören. Diese Eigenschaft wird die Abschussplattform zur positiven Zielidentifikation, genauen und hohen Trefferwahrscheinlichkeit von beweglichen Schiffen und frühzeitiger Vernichtung des Gegners führen. Durch verschiedene Methoden soll die LRASM selbst bei starken Verteidigungsmaßnahmen des Gegners den Weg ins Ziel finden.

Die Technologieabteilung des US-amerikanischen Verteidigungsministeriums DARPA hat Ende 2010 den Rüstungs- und Technologiekonzern Lockheed Martin mit den Entwurfentwicklungen beauftragt. Der Vertrag hat einen Wert von USD 157 Millionen.[1]

Varianten

Beide Varianten sollen sowohl von Flugzeugen als auch vom Boden aus gestartet werden können. Besonders wichtiges Augenmerk bei Starts vom Boden ist die Kompatibilität mit dem MK 41 Vertical Launching System, welcher auf allen Zerstörern und Kreuzern der US Navy zu finden ist.

LRASM-A

Die LRASM-A basiert auf dem Marschflugkörper JASSM-ER und soll ebenfalls Tarnkappentechnik-Eigenschaften aufweisen. Hierzu wird die LRASM-A ein tieffliegendes liegendes Flugprofil aufweisen und mit Unterschallgeschwindigkeit fliegen.

LRASM-B

Die LRASM-B ist eine völlige Neuentwicklung und soll durch ein Staustrahltriebwerk Geschwindigkeiten im Hypersonic-Bereich aufweisen. Die Rakete hat ein hochfliegendes Flugprofil.
