Josiah Ng

Josiah Ng Onn Lam (* 2. Februar 1980 in Manila) ist ein malaysischer Bahnradsportler.

Seit 2002 ist Josiah Ng international im Radsport aktiv. Bei den Asienspielen in Busan in jenem Jahr wurde er Dritter im Keirin. Seitdem belegte er bei Weltcup-Rennen mehrfach Podiumsplätze und platzierte sich bei UCI-Bahn-Weltmeisterschaften unter den ersten Zehn. 2006 wurde er jeweils Zweiter im Keirin bei den Ozeanien-Meisterschaften sowie bei den Asienspielen. Zudem fuhr er schon in mehreren Jahren erfolgreich bei der japanischen Keirin-Serie mit.

Zweimal, 2004 sowie 2008, startete Josiah Ng bei Olympischen Spielen. Seine beste Platzierung war ein sechster Platz im Keirin bei den Spielen 2004 in Athen. Bei den Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi errang er die Goldmedaille im Keirin[1] und die Bronzemedaille im Teamsprint.

Im Jahre 2004 wurde Ng in seinem Heimatland zum „Sportler des Jahres“ gewählt. Er lebt mit seiner Familie und trainiert in Melbourne. Er startet für das malaysische YSD Track Team.[2]
