J. C. Chandor

J. C. Chandor ist ein amerikanischer Drehbuchautor und Filmregisseur, der mit dem Wirtschaftsthriller Margin Call bekannt wurde.

Von Chandor existieren derzeit nur wenige biografische Angaben. Laut Pressetexten zu Margin Call ist er in New York City und London aufgewachsen. Er studierte Filmwissenschaft am College of Wooster in Ohio sowie Filmproduktion an der New York University.[1] Chandor hat einen Kurzfilm, mehrere TV-Dokumentationen und Werbefilme sowie eine sechsteilige Konzertfilmserie gedreht. Sein Langfilmdebüt Der große Crash – Margin Call wurde bei den Internationalen Filmfestspielen Berlin 2011 für den Goldenen Bären nominiert. Derzeit bereitet Chandor für Warner Bros. zwei weitere Spielfilme vor.[2]

J.C. Chandor ist seit 2004 mit der New Yorker Malerin Mary Cameron Goodyear verheiratet.[3]
