Ein Cay bzw. Key oder Caye [kiː] (span. Cayo) ist eine kleine, flache Insel, die aus Sand- oder Korallenablagerungen besteht.

Die Bezeichnung Cay (oder Caye) tragen häufig karibische Inselchen (z. B. Rum Cay (Bahamas) oder Caye Caulker in Belize) – aber auch im Zusammenhang mit Koralleninseln des Great Barrier Riffs spricht man vereinzelt von Cays.

Bekannter sind allerdings die Cays, die die Inselkette der Florida Keys des US-Bundesstaats Florida bilden, etwa Key West.
