Green-Wood Cemetery ist ein Friedhof in Brooklyn. Er beherbergt gegen 600.000 Gräber auf 1,9 km² (478 Acres).

Die Idee, auf dem höchsten Punkt Brooklyns einen Friedhof anzulegen, kam von Stadtplaner Henry Evelyn Pierrepont, der zusammen mit anderen Investoren die ursprünglichen 178 Acres aufkaufte. Gestaltet wurde die Anlage vom Ingenieur und ersten Präsidenten des Friedhofs, David Bates Douglass, der den Park mit Rasen, Hügeln, Weihern und Spazierwegen ausstattete. Eröffnet 1838, wurde der Green-Wood Cemetery bald ein häufiges Ziel von Ausflügen. Das Eingangstor im neugotischen Stil wurde in den 1860ern vom Architekten Richard Upjohn gestaltet, von dem auch weitere Gebäude des Friedhofs stammen. 1911 wurde eine von Warren and Wetmore entworfene Friedhofskapelle fertiggestellt.

Der Green-Wood Cemetery wurde im Jahr 2006 zur National Historic Landmark erklärt.
