Carol Shaw

Carol Shaw ist eine US-amerikanische Spieleprogrammiererin. Sie gilt als die erste weibliche Programmiererin, die für eine Spielkonsole ein Computerspiel entwickelt und veröffentlicht hat. Es handelt sich dabei um den Titel 3D Tic-Tac-Toe aus dem Jahre 1979 für die Atari 2600 Spielkonsole. Ursprünglich arbeitete Sie für die Firma Atari um dann Anfang der 80er Jahre zur Firma Activision zu wechseln. Dort schrieb sie ihr wohl bekanntestes Spiel River Raid.

Zusammen mit Keith Brewster arbeitete sie bei Atari am Atari Basic Reference Manual mit.
