Frequency Drift

Frequency Drift ist eine Musikgruppe aus Bayreuth. Der Stil der Formation lässt sich am ehesten dem Progressive-Rock oder Progressive Metal zuordnen.

Da die Lieder der bisher erschienenen CDs einen Handlungsablauf wiedergeben, wird das Werk der Band auch als Cinematic-Prog bezeichnet. Erzählt wird die Geschichte von River und Romance, zwei Schwestern und ihrem Leben in einer dystopischen Zukunft.

Im September 2011 erschien das dritte Album der Band. Ghosts ist ein themenbezogenes Konzeptalbum. Es geht um Dinge und Erinnerungen, die den Menschen verfolgen, um das einzelne Individuum und die Erinnerungen, die es prägen. Es wird viel Wert auf die Atmosphäre der Musik gelegt, die sich gegenüber den ersten beiden CDs etwas verändert hat.
