Elizabeth Inglis

Elizabeth Inglis (* 10. Juli 1913 in Colchester, England als Desiree Mary Lucy Hawkins; † 25. August 2007 in Santa Barbara, Kalifornien, USA) war eine britische Schauspielerin, bekannt für Ihre Rolle in Das Geheimnis von Malampur zusammen mit Bette Davis.

Ihr Leinwanddebüt gab sie 1934 mit dem Film Borrowed Clothes. 1935 hatte sie eine kleine Rolle in dem Alfred Hitchcock Film Die 39 Stufen als Hilary Jordan.

1942 heiratete sie Sylvester „Pat“ Weaver, einen amerikanischer Radio Manager, der zwischen 1953 und 1955 Präsident von NBC war. Nach ihrer Heirat mit Weaver setzte sie sich zur Ruhe und nahm keine Schauspielrollen mehr an. Das Paar hatte zwei Kinder, darunter die Schauspielerin Sigourney Weaver.

Inglis starb 2007 in Santa Barbara, Kalifornien im Alter von 94 Jahren. Sie war das letzte überlebende Cast-Mitglied von Hitchcocks Film Die 39 Stufen.
