Die Pyramide El Castillo (Die Burg) ist die größte Pyramide der Maya-Ruinen von Xunantunich. Sie besitzt eine Höhe von ca. 42 Metern und ist nach der Pyramide in Canaa die zweithöchste Pyramide in Belize.

Eine breite Freitreppe führt zum Absatz in etwa 20 Meter Höhe, dann folgt ein weiterer Pyramidenaufbau, dessen obere Plattform von einem Tempel eingenommen wird, der mehrere überwölbte Räume umfasst. Von dort oben hat man einen Fernblick über weite Teile von Belize und das angrenzende Guatemala.

Die Strukturen und Ornamente an der Pyramidenaußenseite sind Modelle aus Fiberglas, um die weiter innen liegende originale Wand zu schützen.
