Dean Foods ist ein US-amerikanisches Unternehmen mit Firmensitz in Dallas, Texas. Das Unternehmen ist im Aktienindex S&P 500 gelistet.

Dean Foods produziert verschiedene Produkte, die auf Milch basieren. Gegründet wurde das Unternehmen 1925 durch Samuel E. Dean. [2]Er erwarb das in Illinois befindliche Unternehmen Pecatonica Marketing Company und nannte es 1927 in Dean Evaporated Milk Company um. [3] In den folgenden Jahren erwarb Dean weitere Molkereien in Illinois. Im Dezember 2001 wurde das Unternehmen vom Konkurrenten Suiza Foods Corporation aus Dallas erworben. Hieraus entstand das heutige Unternehmen Dean Foods in Dallas.

Dean Foods gehört zu den größten Produzenten von Sojamilch in den Vereinigten Staaten. Zu den von Dean Foods vertriebenen Marken gehören unter anderem: Adohr Farms, Alpro, AltaDena, Barbe's, Barber's, Berkeley Farms, Borden, Broughton Foods Company, Brown's Dairy, Celta, Country Delite, Country Fresh, Creamland, Dairy Ease, Dairy Fresh, Dean Foods Ultra, Gandy's, Garelick Farms, Hygeia, Ideal Dairy, Jilbert's Dairy, Lehigh Valley Dairies, Liberty Dairy, Louis Trauth, Mayfield Dairy, McArthur Dairy, Meadow Brook, Meadow Gold, Model Dairy, Oak Farms, PET Evaporated Milk, Price's, Purity, Reiter, Robinson Dairy, Schenkel's, Schepps, Shenandoah's Pride, Swiss Farms, T.G.
