Cape Spear auf Neufundland, nur wenige Kilometer südöstlich von St.John’s, ist der östlichste Punkt des nordamerikanischen Kontinents.

Ein markantes Wahrzeichen ist der 1835 erbaute älteste Leuchtturm Neufundlands, der heute ein Museum beherbergt. Weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten auf dem frei zugänglichen Gelände sind ein zweiter Leuchtturm und ein Fort aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg.
