Karl Boost

Karl (Carl) Joseph Adolf Boost (* 25. Februar 1802 in Cochem; † 8. Januar 1877 Poltersdorf) war ein deutscher Mediziner und Mitglied des Preußischen Abgeordnetenhauses.

Leben

Boost wurde 1802 als Sohn eines Arztes geboren und studierte nach dem Besuch des Gymnasiums in Cochem Medizin an der Universität Bonn, wo er 1818 Mitglied der Alten Bonner Burschenschaft wurde. Nach Promotion zum Dr. med. arbeitete er als praktischer Arzt in Cochem und wurde 1848 Abgeordneter der Preußischen Nationalversammlung. Von 1862 bis 1863 gehörte er dem Preußischen Abgeordnetenhaus für den Wahlkreis 7 (Koblenz 5) an. Er war Mitglied der Deutschen Fortschrittspartei.
