Der Burswood Dome ist eine große Arena für Konzerte, sportliche Ereignisse oder verschiedene Events in Perth, Western Australia, Australien. Die Arena ist 8,800 m² groß und besitzt 13.600 Sitzplätze (oder 8.000 während Tennis-Turnieren).

Lage

Der Burswood Dome ist Teil des Burswood Entertainment Complex am Swan River etwa 3 km vom Stadtzentrum von Perth entfernt, es befindet sich im Eigentum der Crown Limited. In dem Gesamtkomplex gibt es ein Kasino, das 24 Stunden geöffnet ist, sieben Restaurants, acht Bars, einen Nightclub, zwei internationale Hotels (ein 5-Sterne InterContinental- und ein 4-Sterne Holiday Inn-Hotel), ein Konferenzzentrum, Theater, einen Golfplatz und den Burswood Dome. Die Burswood Train Station, die nahe am Burswood Dome liegt ist mit der Innenstadt von Perth durch eine öffentliche Verkehrsanbindung erreichbar.

Konzerte

  • Metallica gaben zwei Konzerte im Oktober 2010 während ihrer "World Magnetic Tour".
  • Cliff Richard & The Shadows sind Rekordhalter mit 34.000 Plätzen bei einem Konzert.
  • Britney Spears hält den Rekord für das schnellste ausverkaufte Konzert (8 Minuten).
