Die British Motor Co. Ltd. war ein britischer Automobilhersteller in Wolverhampton (Staffordshire). Es bestanden enge Beziehungen zur ebenfalls dort ansässigen Star Motor Company.
Unter dem Markennamen Briton stellte British Motor in den Jahren 1909–1929 hauptsächlich Mittelklasse-Personenwagen mit seitengesteuerten Vierzylindermotoren her. Ausnahmen davon bildeten nur das erste Modell, der 1909–1912 gefertigte 10 hp, dessen Motor nur 2 Zylinder besaß und das letzte Modell, der 1921–1929 gebaute 9.8 hp, der einen obengesteuerten Vierzylindermotor hatte.
