Bright Automotive ist ein Startup-Unternehmen des Rocky Mountain Institute. Der Sitz befindet sich in Anderson im US-Bundesstaat Indiana. Die Firma entwickelt unter anderem einen Lieferwagen mit Hybridantrieb, der ab 2013 in Serie produziert werden soll. Bright wird zudem von Unternehmern geführt, die Lösungen anbietet, um die Herausforderungen im Zusammenhang mit der Luftverschmutzung, der globalen Erwärmung und der schwindenden Öl-Reserven zu bewältigen. Dem Unternehmen gehört zu 100 Prozent auch die Firma Bright eSolutions, die sich auf Entwicklung, Konstruktion und Produktion der Batterie-Technologie spezialisiert hat.[1] Der US-Automobilhersteller General Motors hat im August 2010 eine Unternehmensbeteiligung erworben. [2]
