Caetés ist ein Gemeindebezirk (município) im Bundesstaat Pernambuco im Nordosten Brasiliens mit 25.337 Einwohnern (Stand: Juli 2005). Die Landwirtschaft von Caetés produziert u. a. Mais, Bohnen, Baumwolle und Maniok.

In Caetés, das damals noch Vargem Grande hieß, wurde 1945 der heutige brasilianische Präsident Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva geboren.

Bis 1963 gehörte Caetés unter dem Namen „Vargem Grande“ zu Garanhuns.
