Baron Swaythling, of Swaythling in the County of Southampton, ist ein erblicher britischer Adelstitel in der Peerage of the United Kingdom, der von der Familie Montagu geführt wird.

Verleihung

Der Titel wurde im Jahre 1907 für den prominenten jüdischen Bankier Sir Samuel Montagu geschaffen. Dieser war 15 Jahre lang Mitglied des House of Commons gewesen. Er war Mitglied der Liberal Party.

Weiterer Titel

Der erste Baron war bereits 1894 zum Baronet, of Swaythling in the County of Southampton, erhoben worden. Dieser Titel, der zur Baronetage of the United Kingdom gehört, wird vom jeweiligen Baron geführt.
