Die Bezeichnung Attachment Parenting (deutsch: Erziehung durch Zuneigung) wurde vom Kinderarzt William Sears geprägt. Es handelt sich um eine Theorie der Entwicklungspsychologie, die besagt, dass eine enge emotionale Eltern-Kind-Beziehung in der Kindheit eine Voraussetzung für sichere und empathische Beziehungen im Erwachsenenalter ist.
