Argon ST ein US-amerikanisches Technologieunternehmen mit Sitz in Fairfax. Das Unternehmen ist führender Anbieter bei der Entwicklung von sogenannten C⁴ISR-Systemen.

Geschichte

Die Argon ST entstand durch eine Fusion der Argon Engineering Associates und der SenSyTech im Jahr 2004. Im Jahr 2005 erwarb das Unternehmen Radix Technologies. In den folgenden zwei Jahren erwarb Argon ST weitere Unternehmen wie die Coherent Systems International.

Am 30. Juni 2010 wurde bekannt, das Boeing Argon ST für 775 Millionen Dollar übernehmen wird[2]. Argon ST wird somit eine eigenständige Tochtergesellschaft der Boeing Company.

Staatliche Subventionen

Argons Forschungs- und Entwicklungsarbeit wird seit vielen Jahren in hohem Maße von der US-Regierung über die US Navy, die United States Army und andere Regierungsstellen subventioniert.
