CNN International ist der internationale Ableger des US-amerikanischen Nachrichtensenders Cable News Network (CNN). Im Gegensatz zum nationalen Sender CNN/US sendet CNN International weltweit. Es wird in englischer Sprache und im Bildformat 4:3 gesendet. Mehr als eine Milliarde Menschen in 212 Ländern können den Sender empfangen.

Das 24-Stunden-Programm liefert Nachrichten. Die Informationen werden aus den Produktionsstudios in London, Atlanta und Hongkong gesendet. Aus London kommen rund 50 Stunden Programm pro Woche. Montags bis freitags sind „World Report“, „International Desk“, „World One“ und „World Business Today“ bzw. "Quest means Business" im Programm, sowie die Spartenprogramme "Backstory", Connect the World" und "The Brief". Direkt vom Muttersender CNN US werden folgende Sendungen übernommen: „Piers Morgan Tonight“, „The Situation Room“ , „Fareed Zakaria GPS“, „State of the Union with Candy Crowley“ und „Anderson Cooper 360°“. Auch bei aktuellen Ereignissen aus den USA (zum Beispiel Berichterstattung bei den US-(Vor-)Wahlen) wird das amerikanische Programm übernommen. Besonderes Merkmal von CNN sind die sogenannten „Breaking News“, das sind aktuelle Berichte zu besonderen Ereignissen, für die das laufende Programm unterbrochen wird.
