Aedas

Aedas ist ein großes Architekturbüro aus Abu Dhabi, der Hauptstadt der Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten, das weltweit tätig ist.

Über den Globus verteilt, besitzt Aedas insgesamt 38 Büros auf allen Kontinenten (mit Ausnahme Australiens)[1]. Vor allem ist das Architekturbüro jedoch in den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten, mit Schwerpunkt Dubai tätig, da dort aktuell eine hohe Bautätigkeit herrscht. Neben Hallen und Einkaufszentren plant Aedas zahlreiche Wolkenkratzer, sowie auch Projekte auf dem Gebiet der allgemeinen Stadtplanung.

Zu den bekanntesten Entwürfen zählt das in Dubai im Bau befindliche Pentominium (Bau derzeit wegen wirtschaftlichen Problemen unterbrochen), das bei seiner Vollendung im Jahr 2014 mit 516 Metern das höchste Wohngebäude der Erde sein wird und das vierthöchste der Welt.
