Acid Maria (eigentlich Angelika Leppert) ist eine deutsche DJ und Musikproduzentin der elektronischen Musikszene. Ihr Musikstil bewegt sich zwischen Techno und House. Bekannt wurde sie als Resident-DJ der Münchener Clubs Ultraschall und Harry Klein.

Leben

Ihre Karriere begann sie am 6. Dezember 1992 als sie die Jockey Slut Night im mit 20 Personen vollen Club Alcatraz im Münchner Glockenbachviertel auftrat. DJ Hell förderte sie danach bei einigen Projekten. Bevor sie sich Acid Maria nannte, trat sie auch als DJ Anki auf.

1996 war sie Bestandteil des Lineups der Mayday in Dortmund.[1]

Im späteren Verlauf ihrer Karriere hatte sie Veröffentlichungen u.a. mit Steve Bug, Markus Guentner und den Gebrüder Teichmann. 2003 erschien ihr DJ-Mix Female Pressure Presents: Welttour, der gemeinsam mit Electric Indigo entstand.

Mittlerweile lebt sie in Berlin und studiert am Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie in Karlsruhe.
