Handlung

Der Astrophysiker Dr. Jack Murry verschwindet plötzlich ohne jede Spur. Seine Kinder Meg und Charles suchen ihn. Sie entdecken, dass ihr Vater als Folge geheimer Experimente auf den Planeten Camazotz gebeamt wurde. Die Kinder begeben sich ebenfalls dorthin.

Meg und Charles kämpfen auf Camazotz gegen die Organisation "Central Central Intelligence". Sie retten den Wissenschaftler, werden aber von dem Mann mit roten Augen verraten. Charles wird gefangen genommen.

Kritiken

John J. Puccio schrieb im "DVD Review", dass das Tempo des Film typisch für die Fernsehfilme sei. [1]

David Dorfman wurde 2005 für den Young Artist Award nominiert. Susan Shilliday wurde 2005 für den Writers Guild of America Award nominiert. Der Film wurde 2004 für den Casting Society of America Award und für den Leo Award nominiert; 2005 wurde er für den Saturn Award nominiert.

Anmerkungen

Der Film verfilmt den Roman „A Wrinkle in Time“ von Madeleine L’Engle aus den Jahren 1959/1960. Er wurde in Richmond und in Vancouver gedreht.
