Die AZ Media GmbH wurde im Jahre 1995 von Andre Zalbertus gegründet und hat heute Hauptniederlassungen in Hannover, Berlin, Leipzig, Hamburg und Köln. In der Hauptsache produziert die AZ Media GmbH Programmfenster für Privatfernsehsender, die dazu verpflichtet sind, solche unabhängigen Produktionen auszustrahlen. Bekannteste Produktionen sind das Programmfenster AZ Media TV und das Parlamentsfernsehen des Deutschen Bundestages.

Im Jahr 2006 verkaufte Zalbertus sein Unternehmen an die Verlagsgesellschaft Madsack und die Rheinische Post. Die AZ Media GmbH beschäftigt 102 Mitarbeiter, neben Andre Zalbertus zählen noch Frank Hähnel und Andreas Antzen zur Geschäftsleitung. Chefredakteur ist Markus Engelhardt.
