ATIP

Absolute time in pregroove (Abk. ATIP) ist die englische Bezeichnung der Informationen in der gepressten Führungsspur (pregroove) auf CD-Rohlingen (CD-R und CD-RW). Darin sind am Anfang u.a. Daten über den Hersteller, die Kapazität des Rohlings und die empfohlene Schreibleistung des Lasers eingetragen. Außerdem beinhaltet die Führungsspur über die gesamte Länge die fortlaufende Zeitinformation (daher der Name), die der Brenner zum Positionieren braucht. Dass diese Information als Zeit gespeichert wird, hat ihren Ursprung darin, dass die CD als Audiodatenträger entwickelt wurde. Bei DVD-Rohlingen wird diese Information nun auch als fortlaufende Adresse gespeichert und nennt sich daher ADIP.
