Der Bia Distrikt ist der nördlichste der 13 Distrikte der Western Region Ghanas und befindet sich zwischen der Grenze zur Elfenbeinküste im Westen und der Nachbarregion Brong Ahafo im Osten. Der Distrikt wurde 2003 durch die Teilung des ehemaligen Distriktes Juaboso-Bia District gebildet.
