Zero Fuel Weight

Das Zero Fuel Weight (ZFW) ist das Leertankgewicht eines Flugzeuges. Es ist eines der für die Flugzeugabfertigung notwendigen Massen, das bei der Berechnung des Loadsheet ermittelt wird. Es ist als das Gewicht des vollausgerüsteten Flugzeuges, inklusive Küchen- (Galley-)ausrüstung, Catering, Standardmengen an Öl, Wasser und anderen Flüssigkeiten, der Kabinen- und Cockpitbesatzung mit ihrem Gepäck, sowie mit Zuladung, aber ohne Treibstoff definiert.


Das Zero Fuel Weight lässt sich wie folgt berechnen:


Zero Fuel Weight (ZFW)
Basic weight
+ Catering
+ Crew und deren Gepäck (Bei der Bundeswehr: Crew ohne deren Gepäck)
= Dry Operating Weight
+ Zuladung
= Zero Fuel Weight
