(12) Victoria ist ein Asteroid des Asteroiden-Hauptgürtels, der am 13. September 1850 von John Russell Hind als zwölfter Asteroid entdeckt wurde.
Die Namensgebung wurde seinerzeit kontrovers diskutiert, da man allgemein glaubte, Hind habe den Himmelskörper zu Ehren der englischen Königin Victoria benannt - bis dahin war es unüblich, Asteroiden nach lebenden Personen zu benennen. Hind wies allerdings darauf hin, dass die römische Siegesgöttin die Namensgeberin war.

Victoria bewegt sich in einem Abstand von 1,8191 (Perihel) bis 2,8495 (Aphel) astronomischen Einheiten, in 3,57 Jahren um die Sonne. Die Bahn ist 8,3619° gegen die Ekliptik geneigt, die Bahnexzentrizität beträgt 0,2207.

Victoria hat einen Durchmesser von 117 Kilometer. Sie besitzt eine relativ helle Oberfläche mit einer Albedo von 0,176. In rund 8 Stunden und 40 Minuten rotiert sie um die eigene Achse.

Aufnahmen, die mittels Radar und Speckle-Interferometrie gemacht wurden, zeigen, dass der Asteroid eine längliche Form aufweist. Möglicherweise besteht er aus zwei Körpern.
