Bandgeschichte

Die Rockband The Urge entstand 2005, aber bereits 1966 wurde der Bandname "The Urge" von dem Sänger John Miles für seine erste Band verwendet. Als sich dann fast 40 Jahre später sein Sohn John Miles Jr. mit Simon Ferry zusammentat, übernahmen sie kurzerhand den Bandnamen des Seniors, schrieben ein paar Songs und taten sich mit Jonny Boyle und dem Bassisten Neil Harland zusammen.

Die Aufnahmen für das erste Album starteten im Wild Trax Studio in Co. Durham. The Urge schickte eine Kopie der Aufnahme an Brian Johnson, den Sänger von AC/DC, der den Song "Blue Steel" zusammen mit The Urge aufnahm. Unter anderem traten sie beim Konzert zum 30-jährigen Bestehen des Rockpalasts auf.
