Geschichte
Die Hochschule wurde 1949 als University College of North Staffordshire gegründet. Sie erhielt den Status einer Universität 1969 und wurde dabei in The University of Keele umbenannt. Dies entspricht noch immer dem offiziellen Namen, obwohl die Universität sich heute selbst als Keele University bezeichnet.
