Téa Leoni (* 25. Februar 1966 in New York als Elizabeth Téa Pantaleoni) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin.

Leben

Téa Leoni ist die Tochter eines Wirtschaftsanwaltes und einer Diätassistentin. Ihre Ausbildung schloss sie in den Fächern Anthropologie und Psychologie am privaten Sarah-Lawrence-College im Staat New York ab.

Ihre Karriere begann sie 1989 in der Soap Santa Barbara; sie kürzte ihren langen Namen auf den heutigen Künstlernamen Téa Leoni. Ihre erste Kinorolle spielte sie 1992 in dem Film Switch. In den folgenden Jahren sah man sie in Nebenrollen in größeren Produktionen wie z. B. Wyatt Earp oder Eine Klasse für sich. Die erste weibliche Hauptrolle spielte sie an der Seite von Will Smith in Bad Boys. Ihre größte Rolle war bis heute der Katastrophenfilm Deep Impact, wo sie eine Reporterin darstellte. 2001 spielte sie in dem Sequel Jurassic Park III mit.

Téa Leoni war von 1997 bis 2008 mit dem Schauspieler David Duchovny verheiratet. Die beiden haben zwei Kinder. Kurz nachdem Duchovny eine Behandlung wegen Sexsucht beendete, gab das Paar seine Trennung bekannt.[1] Grund war eine Beziehung von Téa Leoni mit Billy Bob Thornton.[2] Im März 2009 heirateten Leoni und Duchovny erneut. [3]
