Thomas Pasatieri

Thomas Pasatieri (* 20. Oktober 1945 in New York City) ist ein US-amerikanischer Komponist.

Pasatieri war Schüler von Nadia Boulanger und studierte von 1962 bis 1965 an der Juilliard School of Music und unterrichtete dort Komposition, später an der Manhattan School und am College-Conservatory of Music Cincinnati. Von 1980 bis 1984 war er künstlerischer Leiter der Atlanta Opera. Danach übersiedelte er nach Los Angeles, wo zahlreiche Filmmusiken entstanden.

Er orchestrierte die Musiken zu mehr als fünfzig Filmen und komponierte den Song She Rescues Him Right Back in Pretty Woman. Bekannt wurde er aber vor allem als Komponist zahlreicher Opern und von über vierhundert Liedern.
