Thesan

Thesan, ist die etruskische Göttin der Morgenröte und – nach Vorstellung der Griechen – möglicherweise auch die Göttin bzw. der Gott der Geburtshilfe. Der Name ist in der etruskischen Sprache gleichzusetzen mit „Sonnenaufgang, Morgen“. Die Etrusker übernahmen Götter vom Hurritischen und protohellenischem Pantheon. So auch Thesan die Lichtgöttin (Lichtgott?).

Thesan entspricht der römischen Aurora und/oder der griechischen Eos.
