Teal ist im englischen Sprachraum ein selten vorkommender, überwiegend weiblicher Vorname, der auf die englische Bezeichnung für eine blau-grüne Farbe (aquamarin, seegrün, smaragdgrün; petrol) zurückgeht, die ihrerseits von der Farbe der Krickente (engl.: „Common Teal“) abgeleitet ist.[1]
