Taxiing (Verb: to taxi) ist ein englischer Begriff für die Bewegung eines Luftfahrzeugs auf dem Boden aus eigener Kraft.

Dabei kann sich das Flugzeug bzw. das Luftfahrzeug auf Rädern, Kufen oder Luftpolstern (bei einigen Hubschraubern) bewegen. Das Flugzeug wird durch Turbinen (Triebwerke) oder Propeller angetrieben.

Die Flugzeuge auf einem Flughafen bzw. einem Flugplatz taxi auf einer asphaltierten, betonierten oder einfach befestigten Rollbahn oder einer Grasfläche. Die Rollbahnen auf Flughäfen werden deswegen auch taxiway genannt.

Für die Flugzeuge gibt es auf Flugplätzen Geschwindigkeitsgrenzen, um Schäden durch den aus den Triebwerken austretenden Luftstrom zu verhindern.
