Smart Object

Smart Objects sind Dateien in einer Adobe-Photoshop-Datei, die als eine Ebene verpackt sind. Durch Doppelklicken eines Smart Objects öffnet sich diese Ebene als Datei in der Ursprungsanwendung.

Erstellung von Smart Objects

Smart Objects werden durch die Auswahl mehrerer Ebenen in Photoshop und die Anwendung des Befehls „Smart Object erstellen“ bzw. „Für Smart Filter konvertieren“ erstellt. Smart Objects können auch direkt beim Öffnen einer Datei aus Adobe Bridge oder aus dem Camera-Raw-Modul erstellt werden.

Wenn Dateien in Photoshop CS2 und CS3 in eine Photoshop-Datei platziert werden, werden diese automatisch zu Smart Objects.

Vorteile von Smart Objects

Smart Objects ermöglichen das nondestruktive Skalieren und Transformieren von Bildinformationen, respektive in Adobe Photoshop CS3 auch die Anwendung der nondestruktiven Smart Filter. Die Bildinhalte eines Smart Objects können jederzeit durch andere Daten ersetzt werden, wodurch angewandte Filter und Transformationen auf die ausgetauschten Bilddaten unverzüglich berechnet werden. Dabei bleibt das Originalbild aber unverändert. Die Änderungen wirken sich nur auf das Smart Object aus.
