Scout (Lego)

Der Scout war wie der RCX ein "programmierbarer Legostein" und Bestandteil des Legosets 'Robotics Discovery System' (RDS). Über das LCD und Taster können spezielle Funktionen am Scout selber programmiert werden. Das RDS enthält keine Software, mit Hilfe des Scout-SDK (siehe Weblinks) oder der Programmiersprache NQC ist aber das Erstellen eines eigenen Programms möglich. Für die Übertragung des Programms in den Scout wird der IR-Tower des Lego RCX Systems benötigt. Mit der RCX-Fernbedienung kann auch der Scout angesteuert werden. Der Scout besitzt eine VLL-Schnittstelle.

Über den Lego-eigenen Versandhandel war das RDS kurzzeitig in Deutschland erhältlich.
