Saporta Cup

Der Europapokal der Pokalsieger war ein Basketballwettbewerb der zwischen 1967 und 2002 unter Schirmherrschaft der FIBA ausgetragen wurde. Teilnahmeberechtigt waren die Pokalsieger der nationalen Verbände der Fédération Internationale de Basketball. Der Europapokal der Pokalsieger galt bei Bestehen als der zweitbedeutendste kontinentale Titel nach dem Europapokal der Landesmeister und vor dem Korac Cup.

Im Laufe der Geschichte trug der Bewerb mehrere Namen:

  • 1967 - 1991: Europapokal der Pokalsieger
  • 1992 - 1996: Europacup
  • 1997 - 1998: Eurocup
  • 1999 - 2002: Saporta Cup (nach Raimundo Saporta, Funktionär bei Real Madrid)

Die Trennung von ULEB und FIBA führte 2002 zur Einstellung des Europapokals der Pokalsieger.
