Rosy

Maurice Rosy (* 17. November 1927 in Fontaine-l'Évêque, Belgien) ist ein belgischer Comicautor. Im Jahr 1954 begann er auf Vermittlung seines Nachbarn Yvan Delporte seine Laufbahn als Comictexter und „Ideengeber“ für das Verlagshaus Dupuis, wo er innerhalb von zwei Jahren zum künstlerischen Leiter des Magazins Spirou aufstieg. Gemeinsam mit dem Chef-Herausgeber Yvan Delporte war er wesentlich verantwortlich für den Erfolg des Magazins in den 50er und 60er Jahren. Anfang der 70er Jahre entschloss er sich, die Verantwortung für Spirou in jüngere Hände zu übergeben und verließ Dupuis, um in Paris eine neue Laufbahn als Werbetexter und –zeichner einzuschlagen.

Werke

Rosy verfasste die erste Geschichte der Serie Boule et Bill (deutsch Schnieff und Schnuff oder Bill + Boule) für Jean Roba und erfand gemeinsam mit Paul Deliège den ewigen Gefangenen Bobo. Er ist außerdem Schöpfer des sprechenden Hundes Attila, der von Derib gezeichnet wird.

Aus der Feder von Maurice Rosy stammen einige der erfolgreichsten Szenarien für die von Will gezeichnete Reihe Tif et Tondu (deutsch Harry und Platte), für die Rosy von 1955 bis 1967 die Texte schrieb. Er ist Erfinder des maskierten Verbrechers Monsieur Choc (deutsch Schock), des genialen Dauergegenspielers der Titelhelden Tif und Tondu.

Rosy ist zudem Co-Autor einiger gemeinsam mit André Franquin verfasster Abenteuer von Spirou und Fantasio (Champignons für den Diktator und Tiefschlaf für die ganze Stadt) sowie Verfasser eines Abenteuers von Jerry Spring für Jijé. Darüber hinaus schrieb er einige Episoden der von Bara gezeichneten Comic-Kurzgeschichten der Reihe Max l'Explorateur (deutsch Max; u.a. erschienen in Zack).
