Rich Gaspari, genannt „The Dragon Slayer“, (* 16. Mai 1963 in New Jersey) ist ein US-amerikanischer Bodybuilder.

Leben

Gaspari lebt in Lakewood (USA) und ist mit Liz Gaspari verheiratet.

Rich Gaspari ist 1,78 m groß und hat ein Wettkampfgewicht von 102 kg. Außerhalb der Saison beträgt es 111 kg.

Gaspari fing schon mit 14 mit dem Bodybuilding an und wurde mit 19 Mr. Universum. Gasparis aktive Zeit war von 1983 bis 1996. Seine größten Erfolge waren das Erringen des Mr. Universum Titels 1983, sowie der Gewinn der Arnold Classic 1989. Außerdem errang Rich Gaspari von 1986 bis 1988 jeweils den zweiten Platz bei dem bedeutendsten Bodybuildingwettbewerb weltweit, dem Mr.Olympia.

Nachdem Gaspari seine aktive Zeit als Bodybuilder beendete, arbeitete er als Trainings- und Ernährungsberater im Fitnessbereich. Als Grundlage dafür diente ihm sein Zeugnis der National Academy of Sports Medicine. 2004 gründete Gaspari seine eigene Firma für Nahrungsergänzungen, welche seinen Namen trägt: Gaspari Nutrition.
