Pressing

Pressing Game oder zu deutsch Druckspiel, ist eine spieltaktische Variante im Sport. Pressing nennt man das (kurzzeitige, längere oder ständige) Anrennen auf das Tor des Gegners, woran sich außer dem Torhüter alle Mannschaftsteile wechselseitig beteiligen.

Die Grundidee ist, dem Gegner möglichst wenig Zeit zu geben, sein Spiel ruhig und kontrolliert aufzubauen und ihn so zu Fehlern zu zwingen. Das Druckspiel beginnt durch frühzeitiges Stören bzw. Bekämpfen des gegnerischen Angriffs bzw. Angriffsversuchs bereits in der gegnerischen Hälfte, das auch Forechecking genannt wird. Grundvoraussetzungen für Pressing sind hohe Laufbereitschaft der Spieler, Dynamik und entsprechende Kondition.

Da die heutigen Fußballregeln zum größten Teil in England erfunden wurden, sind viele Begriffe aus dem Englischen in den deutschen Fußball eingewandert. So neben Pressing und Forechecking, Fair Play, Powerplay, Tackling oder Kick and Rush.
