(1218) Aster ist ein Asteroid des Hauptgürtels, der am 29. Januar 1932 vom deutschen Astronomen Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth in Heidelberg entdeckt wurde.

Der Asteroid ist nach der Pflanzengattung der Astern benannt.
